This will be my first BMW. I've always loved them, the way the drive, look etc. Blue is my favorite color, and when I drove this thing it was pure joy.

I'm worried about maintenance. It's a single owner car, carfax is clean but BMW will not release any info about work done on the car. They just tell me it has been in the shop.

At almost 100k miles I've heard lot's of stories about trannys going out along with other things. What sort of money should I be looking to drop after I purchase the car?

Also any overall advice on it would be great.

No reason to be concerned about the tranny but I agree, you can do better buying from an enthusiast. For reference I sold my 07 Montego blue sedan last year for 11,500 with records, dinan tune, etc. keep searching and it will be worth the wait when you find the right one.
