I want to mute CCC audio using a wire (in many cars there is a 'amp mute' pin that can be grounded to mute the audio). Can I mute my CCC (2008) using such a method?
I tried to do it by grounding pin#10 (X13812 socket) on the back of the CCC, but nothing happened.

Can you check please and tell me if I should connect my mute wire to another device (e.g. the amp)?

Just to confirm with you:
I have a middle speaker in the car.
I do not use the OEM navigation. I only use OEM radio/music.

So with the HU connected, the purpose of this 'middle speaker connectors' is ONLY to play the HU navigation prompts on the middle speaker at all times? (ie. even when the CCC is switched over to FM/CD/DVD etc?)
When I removed my middle speaker, and compared its plug with the plugs labeled 'middle speaker' on the harness, they are not compatible. My harness has 2 such wires (possibly for 2 external speakers) blue and white as shown in the photos posted previously. So I wrapped them with fabric tape on the harness and am not using them.

Is it useful to enable 'FL Speaker Enable' in Factory settings? Why/Why not?
'FL Speaker Enable': enabled

I tested today on the road. With navigation running, I switch over to FM on the CCC, but I cannot hear any voice prompts.
Come back to AUX and I can hear the prompts.

FYI:
'Aux auto switching': Harman
'AUX switching mode': Manual (with Auto it switches to CD or other mode randomly, so I do not use it)

No...it did not help...the xml was one of many things, none helped. After all that even factory reset did not help...on fresh unit BT still opened up on bootup several times...issue was gone when I added my phone again in BT app and made 2 calls....dont know why....but this what I did.

I dont know anything these cables.

Thanks man.
Can you help with my 'radio mute' enquiry?
I got ISTA+ installed yesterday, but I cannot find any info showing pin#10 of X13812 and how it works.

I can't, sorry. All I know is that it connects to the ULF/MULF module, but completely omitted in the documentation on how it works.

Hi All, I have an Android 13 HU bought off AliExpress. I was messing with some settings and suddenly the driver-side speakers stopped working.

All speakers work fine with iDrive radio but whatever audio comes out of the Android unit only outputs sound to the passenger side speakers. AUX IN works as I plugged in a different Bluetooth device and tested. Kindly help me to sort this out. Let me know if you need any other information.

Ok thanks so far, the logos were uploaded yesterday, so i didnt saw them yet.
But i dont exactly understand the instruction.
Do i have to name the folder OEM or what does it mean by ''create OEM folder''?
In the Mega-Downloads there is no Bootanimation.zip, does it mean Bootlogo.zip?
Also, the first link just has the Bootlogo.zip
Do i have to extract it, then i have the bmps and copy them AND the unextracted zip to the usb stick?

Sorry, but i am just too stupid for it.
I just want to get the logos from the first discord link on my HU, it has 1920x720

if simple things raise questions, it is better to invite an assistant a little smarter. Otherwise, you can stay without HU.

And if you read thoughtfully here, you will find ready-made animations.
Just click on the link

For example

NBT boot animation demo video

And so on

For boot animations follow the instruction on the page provided.
Yes create the OEM folder if it does not exist.

For boot logo, on Android 13, you need to prepare a zip file with your images in several folders as explained here:

Then you need to import this zip file by placing it in OEM folder and then going into Factory settings/Boot logo and clicking import.
After import, you will lose the images shown on Page#2, (unless you save them somewhere), but you will gain your custom ones. You can only import about 14 images 4MB each (at some size the import will fail). All new images will show on page#2. Choose one to show at boot.

Hi all,

Installed a Android 13 HU off AliExpress (SD 680) and installed in my F30 with EVO unit so I have had to use the AUX(from the android harness) to USB dongle to vehicle USB port. The OEM system recognises the AUXUSB connection. (Photo attached)

I’ve triple checked everything and I can’t get any sound from the Android unit. OEM sound has no issues. The fibre cable from the old harness is connected as it should be in the android harness.

I’ve selected the AUXUSB on the OEM screen. Is there factory settings specific to get all of this working? All the Aux and USB settings are on there.

I’ve seen some other HU for the EVO wired completely differently and I don’t have those cords.

The only thing I haven’t connected is the cable in the photo which I don’t need, I THINK???

I’m at a loss of what to do and I want to throw the damn thing out the window.

Hoping someone can give me troubleshooting ideas.

Thanks

Sounds like you need to use the AUX cable to your armrest AUX to get sound.

I don’t have an AUX port in my arm rest, hence the AUX to USB dongle. Installed that and in to the USB port and still no sound.

Does your car not have an aux input at all? I believe you need to plug HU AUX into your cars AUX input. Or plug in a USB DAC and connect it your cars AUX input… not USB input to get audio. My E series car might be different however.

New cars don't have the traditional AUX input at all. Doesn't matter if you code it on or not when there is no physical port anywhere in the car. Post 2018 most car have what is called USB AUX (digital AUX input).

I did all the steps and i found the OEM folder in my root directory.
But i cant replace the folder or paste the Logos.
Do i need to root the system for that?
