Sorry i ment any way on android side to leave volume where you left it when existing car am using aux not usb dac. Atm i have to crank the volume back up each time i return to the car.

You are correct oem volume remain same when leaving the car and returning.

That is definitely not right. You should be able to set the volume once and just leave it. Is it Android volume or KSW Sounds Settings volume that is reverting?

Its the android side sound sound is outputting via aux plugged in centre console.

E.g if am playing music on YouTube i set my Desire volume then if turn car off and return back the volume on android side would be 0 i would have to increase the volume to hear anything.

So every time you need to go to Android Setting > Sound > and increase Media volume, correct?

I dont go into to settings i just increase it via the headunit volume knob... but i will check the android settings volume to see it is on full.

Hi, i saw on promotional videos on AliExpress that there is '' Shutdown Hibernation'' on Android 11 in Factory Settings. Can anyone tell me more what that is?
Can i choose the time before the unit shut downs completely, so that it doesnt need to boot up every time i start the Car?

That's what I wanted to clarify with you. What you just said is you're changing the AUX volume, not Android. Your volume knob doesn't control Android volume i.e. doesn't adjust media volume slider within Android OS. It only controls the AUX volume regardless whether you have there your Android unit, phone, MP3 player or something else hooked up.

Just checked the android volume settings like your picture in previous post the bar is max for sound.

So my aux volume resets to mute each time i restart the car on android side?

hi, is it some way to switch off the auto bright adjusting? when car lights are on i get very low screen brightness. doesnt work to switch it off in settings, ota 2.0 didnt help too ))

Looks like. I would look for some settings on the iDrive side but I'm not sure what is exactly happening here.

not yet. i think it can help but i don't know which mcu match to my hu.
maybe all of them, may be not. My hu is to car without org screen, so it havent ccc/cic/nbt port. just hole in this place ))

Oh no, the dreaded E39 MCU. Unfortunately we don't have it for SD662 unit. Your best option is to ask your seler for the update file and maybe explain the issue you have so they are more willing to share it with you.

Evening RedErik. I finally got my evo retrofit in and all seems ok other than trying to connect via wifi asks for a password and ive no idea what that is! Anyway ive been playing with the andriodapp you put me onto. It fails to work on two critera in the list. One is saying my usb connection with my phone is not set to data but it is, the second is something about waiting for bmw apps. Ive logged into my bmw app but not sure about the whole app thing. Can you offer up any advice? Cheers Erik.

1. You don't need WiFi for anything. WiFi is used for CarPlay (which you won't be using) and in-car online network for other devices (so you can connect a tablet via BMW WiFi and have access to online content).
2. You don't need to run USB cable for this app to work. All you do is setup a new phone in iDrive menu via Bluetooth connection and tick Apps box next to Bluetooth audio and Telephone. That will allow you to connect AAIdrive app with your car.

Ah, its the lack of the apps tick box that is ruining the party then. I ask the guy who coded my nbt evo if he had loaded the FSC's on for apps and he said he had done. He is a well known coder so there must be a missing piece of the puzzle. Is there any things I should check or try that you could suggest Eric?

Without the BMW Apps protocol this whole thing won't work. If the FSC has been loaded then you should have that option in the menu. Remember you have to have MyBMW app for establishing the connection and BMW Apps protocol and then you can connect the AAIdrive app with EVO (via Apps tick box).
