Extra options added to car after production started
So I noticed the other day that after my car started production a few options were now showing up in my build.
Specifically wheel locks, all weather mats, and first aid kit. Anyone else have this happen? I never chose the options and I don't even see them on the builder. What gives? |

Those are port installed options. Things that your sales rep can add during the process that will be added once it lands here in the states. If you don't want them speak up because they will not be free unless previously discussed.

Had that happen with a previous new car i ordered, dealer would not remove em. I Wanted the car as ordered so i went along with it not without letting em know my dissatisfaction and giving them a bad rating.
I order a car to get exactly what i want. Unasked for port installed extra cost accessories are a hallmark of unscrupulous dealers. With this M240 i ordered i specified in writing on the sales order "no port or dealer installed optional accessories". Dealer was accommodating to those wishes. |

Consider yourself lucky. My dealer messed up my order (now in assembly line) by not inputting my options when it flipped from 2022 to 23. I had to start all over from scratch.. still waiting on a damn allocation
