e92 downpipe install help loud ticking
Installed new UR racing downpipes 3 inch. everything is tightened all the way down. Listening from top of engine bay we hear a ticking sound comming from where the downpipes connects to the turbo housing " maybe possible other locations but in that general area". Is this a common thing or did we install something wrong?

more than likely an exhaust leak. did you disconnect the o2 sensors and forget to put them back in?

need someone who's done the install to chime in. i guess it's possible that you didn't get the DP mated correctly and there's a leak.

It could be the v-band clamp hitting the wastegate assembly. Positioning the clamp so that the bolt is easy to tighten will place it right where the wastegate will hit it when it's open - especially on the rear turbo.

best way to determ if the clamp is hitting the wastedgate how much will it open at idle compared to being under gear? just got the exhaust leak fixed where it bolts up to the new magnaflow that was just released to states. still ticking mmmmhm...

will it hurt to drive if i cant make it to the dealer untill weds? should i drive it like a baby or is spirited driving ok? Also would the dealer fix the waste gates even though i have downpipes on now? i dont want to be flagged for war. I live in tampa so it would be Reeves who other members have had problems.
