Markert Motor Works is excellent. They are in Lawrenceville. 5-year warranty on all work they perform. I had to have them warranty an OFHG and it was completely hassle-free, and performed quickly.

Flyin' Wrench is good too, located in Kennesaw.

OTP Automotive in Winder. Very honest, and frequently goes out of their way to help people out.

Solomotorsports is good as well, located in Norcross. I had my turbos done here. 2-year warranty IIRC.

For alignments/wheels/tires, Gran Turismo East. Extremely knowledgeable, but a little pricey. I paid $150 for a 4-wheel alignment.

Bavarian Motor Sports in Suwanee. Harold is great!

Also, Optimum Auto Repair in Chamblee. Takis is a good guy. Not a BMW only shop, but good work and reasonable prices.

So Markert for general servicing and for mods, right?

What about collision? Just got lightly rear-ended in the M3. Can't see anything, but wanted to get it checked out just in case. I heard Gerber or Abra in Buckhead.

I recently had a bad experience with Markert, had so much hope in them and they let me down.

First off it was way overpriced, I spent about 1k on fluid changes and steering wheel shaft replacement ($365). I supplied all parts so this is just labor. It took over 2 weeks for them to complete the work and after the steering wheel controls don’t even work. They were working before so something must not be plugged in. Also it was hard to get in touch with them, I even called several times after to tell them about the steering wheel and no call back ever. It’s been about a month or two now.

Wow! Sorry to hear about that.

Yeah, I'm trying to find a good place for aftermarket work and one for just general servicing.

I have a guy that’s very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience if you are in the Atlanta area, we just dropped the subframe today to replace engine mounts and replaced the intake manifold.

If you are looking for a Service/Repair/Modification shop in the Atlanta area, Then I would recommend Eurofed. They have 4 Locations: Duluth, Grayson, Stone Mountain and they just opened up there newest and largest location located in Chamblee. They are very knowledgeable and are true car enthusiast. Plus their pricing is very fair!

All the locations have a great team of people working there. But I would say the new Chamblee location or the Duluth location would probably be the closest to you. Can't go wrong with any of the locations.

Solo Motorsports. Norcross. John's Creek. Super nice people. They did a full delete for me recently. They even suggested doing some of the prep myself and saving a couple of bucks. They are active on their Facebook account and also the ATLBIMMER group.
