That is nuts. I'm getting my m240 at msrp + $300 "doc fee." I figured that's not too bad since my local dealer didn't have an allocation and was doing $900 over, and the other dealer relatively nearby that had an allocation was a firm $2000 over.

I just picked up mine in So Cal for MSRP. I got lucky and reserved it while in transport. I had just sold my 2020 GT4 and needed a fun daily. When I got there to pickup the car it had the $5000 markup already on the window. But they honored the agreed MSRP.

Was quoted today at $5,000 over MSRP, and then around $800 in doc fees, plus tax, etc. Out the door is around $67,000 USD.

Needless to say, I thanked him for his time and to call me if he wants to sell a car. I'm going to try other dealers.

Circle BMW, Eatontown NJ

Going to try Freehold and Flemington. Circle is closest to me, has great reviews, and has enthusiast events I believe. I'll likely go there for service.

Flemington offered MSRP over the phone, but said it'll be a wait due to allocation, 4-5 months or less

Unfortunately, allocation is the current issue.

Down payment made. Circle BMW takes weeks to get the ball rolling, Flemington was one phone call, and they already have my deposit. Sales guy is super cool, drives an M340.

Thanks, though I'm reading now that the ACC option isn't available anymore, which I didn't realize. Getting nervous about spending 60k on a car with no ACC, no passenger lumbar, and possibility of other missing stuff. Bummer

BMW of Murrieta has a red one up and IIRC they were at MSRP. Irvine BMW and Bob Smith BMW were over MSRP at the time. (For the California Peeps)

I placed an order for an M240i yesterday. Straight MSRP and Performance Center delivery. I'm interested to see when I get a build slot. My dealer thinks it'll be June but I have a feeling it'll be a little later which is fine by me.

Placed my order for a TNM car on 4/4. Leasing at 36/10k came out to just over $900/month. A bit higher than the payment estimator in the Build Your Own area of the site, which coincidentally, is different from the payment estimator found in the "Shopping" area of the BMWUSA site. Odd, but oh well. Very excited.

These lease figures I am seeing are nuts. $900mo. is crazy for a $55K car.

Agreed. It has me considering traditional financing instead.

At that sort of rate if you're financing, I'd think you'd owe less than what the buyout would be after 36 months, too.

If you're not keeping track of fed rates, they're going up very quickly and will continue to increase as a counter inflation measure. BMW is no longer doing 1.9% loans.

Flipping another late model car and getting top $ helps with some of the sting.

True, netted $11k on the sale of my 2019 Corvette GS last April.

I purchased the M240i that I ordered in December today and was shocked to learn that the dealer had locked in the 1.9% interest rate from BMWFS when I did the credit application in December. According to the F&I manager, they now do rate locks for up to 4 months.
