So if "The new instrument cluster uses secure coding and is not accessible unfortunately." how are people being able to code using the G20 option?

Bummer - really like those clusters better than the stock ones. It would be worth the cost of the app just for those clusters.

Not only would I potentially pay a reasonable price to "download" the M2 cluster onto my car, I'd also be interested in some good looking round gauges.

BMW missed the mark I think, took flack for introducing subscription fees, but didn't bother to offer downloadable monetizable upgrades like different Iconic Sound options, gauges, etc.

Yeah.

If cosmetics microtransactions work in games, I don't know why wouldn't they in cars. Especially with modern big screen infotainments.

Definitely, it would be relatively easy for them to implement a "classic" dash, it's just pixels on a screen after all, I had a Golf R and A35 that both had and it's what I used 95% of the time despite the flashier options available. Coding full length needles on the golf was the best thing I did with it!

Check out the 2024 Mustang, they added a classic looking '87 - '93 Fox Body style gauge cluster as an option, included with the price of the car. I would have paid maybe 100 or 150 bucks for that myself if I owned one and that was the only way to get it. I think it looks cool, and I'm a bit nostalgic on the Fox Body Mustangs.

I'm sure BMW could add E92 M3 style gauges or something similar.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to add / code the rear fog lights in to the US spec G42?

I’ve been looking but so far have only found information about the F-generation.

If it’s possible I would to do this mod.

There’s no difference whether the G42 was supported or not. I switch between 2 series and 3 series each time.

Any help with the anti-dazzle coding on a 2024 M240i. I don't see the La1 line to start editing in expert mode in Body Domain Controller.

Any help is much appreciated.

In Bimmercode you’ll find it as LaMaster1, same with the others LaMaster2, and LaMaster3.

Has anyone completed the 07/2023.53 software update/ Has that had any effect on coding or did you need to recode anything after?

Yea just did it last week. It did reset some coding, like the seatbelt chimes are back, as well as the volume display. Stuff like the anti dazzle and 5 blink turn signal was not effected.
