Heated steering wheel
Can the heat be increased with bimmercode at all or any other method.
i suffer from a circulation problem in my fingers and its very hard to get them warm at all ,this has to be the weakest heated steering wheel ive ever had out of any car ,so much so i have to press the button to see if its still on sometimes.. |

Agree the heated steering wheel feature is pretty weak, lame. Should be able to independently control the amount of steering wheel heat. |

I think it changes if you have the heating in “predictive” mode. Steering wheel heating is on or off, no temp setting. |

It’s one of the overall settings like auto-mode or something like that. I’m not near my car right now. But in flipping one of the sliders it changes the seat heating “dial” from 3 to 4 levels. I’ll check later if no one posts the exact way.

My unscientific observations have me believing the steering wheel gets hotter with the seat heating level turned up but I could be mistaken. Would be nice if BMW offer steering wheel heat activation button function as press one turns steering wheel heat on low, press again bumps the heat level to medium, press yet again (3rd time) ups the heat level to high and of course one more press turns steering wheel heat off. |

General If a drive is resumed within about 15 minutes after a temporary stop, the functions are automatically switched on at the last temperature setting. For further information: Automatic programme, see page 239. At page 239....make that 240, I found this: When the automatic programme is turned on, the intensity of seat heating can be adjusted: 1. "CLIMATE MENU" tap in the centre of the air conditioning bar. 2. Seat heating. 3. Select the desired settings, for example, "HIGH". The individually selected settings of the air conditioning functions are stored and automatically set up again, for example, after the vehicle is started again. Of course I expect (hope...) one has more adjustment/flexibility in the car actually being at the controls. Just don't recall seeing anything related directly at least to seat heating other than what is described above. |

My wheel gets so warm I have to turn it off, even in low (for UK) temperatures

Min starts nice and hot then gets weaker the longer it stays on, which is perfect tbh, i think it may be linked to the auto climate setting

Amount of heat desired is a personal preference, but I found when moving from others brands to BMW, the wheel heating is must less warm that other brands. With that said, I found it comfortable to leave on all the time, being just warm, compared to other brands where I would need to cycle it on and off because it gets too hot. I'd say it's "comfortable" for me.
The G42 steering wheel gets warmer than I recall my F22 being. I see no way of adjusting it within the head unit, and I don't recall seeing any way to code it warmer when I dug into basic coding. |

If you are not sure whether it is working Ninja, I'd suggest it isn't working. Mine is very obviously warm to the touch 30 seconds after turning it on.
