It’s a little unsettling to see someone smash the gas pedal and then smash the brake because the car 2 feet in front of them is still stopped at the red light. |

Occasionally… the car attracts both enthusiast type attention to include fuckboys, but also attracts a bit of smugness from some M owners and also parts suppliers that feel the baby M is not worth catering to.

was in downtown manhattan earlier today and was stopped at a red light next to a school bus. the kids are all like, "yo nice car! what do you do for a living?!" lol.
funny thing is, on a more personal note, i always hated rolling up next to school buses bc when i was a kid in the 80s kids on buses would always always do the "chinky eye" squint and make all those king fu noises at me (im asian). could you imagine an entire bus looking out the back windows and doing chinky faces at a mom and kid. now theyre complimenting my car. i like the progression. |

In their defense tho, everyone does love kung-fu fighting! The eye thing I frown at. Kids are terrible. Some grow up to become terrible adults, sadly. Props for the sweet ride! Always a nice feeling to get some love for the G. It's definitely one of the more uniquely designed cars on the road. Last edited by viperx100; 03-26-2024 at 03:20 PM.. |

I've had my ride for 6 months and I have as of yet anyone want to race me. Lots of Chargers Mustangs and Challengers here in Phoenix. So far they all stay away. Not looking for a race but just interesting. Now in my E92 they wanted to race me.
Maybe it's the BG color with shadowline and ZTK with bright red calipers. It does look very quick just sitting there, who knows and I would rather have it this way. |

nothing other than some ricer fly bys here and there, had an old probably 70s dude in a grand prix gtp of all things line up next to me at a stop light and want to run. Personally I enjoy it nothing wrong with some heads up stop light to stop light action. I was nice and asked him if he wanted the hit lol.

I've had my G42 since late September and I've yet to see another one. Clearly, I need to get out more with less than 2,700 miles on the clock. I do have to admit that the one person I worry about is- me! The traffic in the greater Boston area is usually fairly heavy, as well as quite fast. I try to stay away from congested groups of cars, but I find myself driving even faster in the M240ix than I did in my '18 Golf R (that one had a Cobb tune with about the same hp/tq as the new BMW). The BMW is bigger, a little heavier, and quieter than the VW. I often look at the speedo and see 95-100 mph and I'm not particularly trying to go fast. Part of the issue for me is that the car becomes a lot more fun at higher speeds, particularly in Sport, or Sport+ in manual mode.

This is funny. I’ve felt the same. I’m sometimes shocked at the speed..so much that I thought the speedometer was off. But it aligns with what waze was estimating.
