HELP: No sound after installing / upgrading BMW Business CIC

I have just recently bought a second hand BMW CIC Business Unit to upgrade on our E93.

Originally the car has no CIC / I-drive unit and it has Logic 7 audio factory installed.
After installing / upgrading the system - there is no sound!
Help!

Our mechanic thinks that it maybe the audio IC is gone and need replacement but we are unsure about it.
Any feedback guys?

Please help.

Cheers!
Josh

I had the same issue when I upgraded my 2006 CCC Logic 7 system to CIC. I had to upgrade the firmware on the amp before the sound came out.

To test if the amp is still working or not just plug the old unit back in and if it works you know its just the firmware that needs upgrading.

Worth a try.

Good luck.

How to upgrade the firmware?

Thank you guys for the reply.

Any advise how to upgrade the firmware? Is it something you can do yourself with the help of after market service or should I bring to the BMW dealer nearby?

Once again, thanks for the replies.

Did you already properly code the CIC? As said above, sound won't work if the CIC is not coded for the Top-HiFi option (Logic7 or Harmon/Kardon).
