BMW 338i 2011
Losing power when on the highway. Lights and battery working. Check engine light pops up,air bags and undercarriage matience (yellow).
Try to start car again and it cranks and gives Multiple clicking sounds. Wait about 20min-1hr and car starts up fine with no codes. Took it to the shop they said battery is good and everything checked out fine. They can’t do anything about it since there isn’t no code popping up. Leaving town in a couple of days and need help diagnosing or at least being lead into a direction |

Loose battery connection, ground strap, or wire somewhere?
Just a complete guess... the Airbag lamp coming on suggests that it's doing a complete power cycle, not just misfiring or stalling, as they only illuminate when ignition is switched on.

I would bet you have a weak spring/coupler in the OAD alternator pulley. They typically begin to slip when engine is good and warm causing the alternator to not output the required running voltage of 14.5v.
