Is this a police car? Unmarked but with lights on top? Seems to negate the reason for being unmarked if it's got a massive set of lights on top. Unless people mix it up with a roof rack? I'm guessing it's not a doctor, fire response vehicle or paramedic?

Mmm thats very true, the lights definitely look like the usual units you see on marked police cars.

I wonder if we can run the plate by anyone to check its a genuine copper.

I've seen it twice. Both times in that location and with the blues and twos going. Seems an odd setup?

Don't doubt it's legit. Just wondering what service???

KX14 KVE. Never know if unmarked cars are supposed to be kept a secret and if this is regarded as unmarked or not? What with the lights???

I would suggest it is SOCA or another similar agency who use these types of vehicles. If you are ever in doubt you can call up your local Police 101 and express concerns about an unmarked police car you have seen as we are keen to know ourselves if something's not right.

They'll run the VRM and let you know.

Thanks ihpj, that's good to know. Better hold off on the blue LEDs on my car then. Bet I could get to work in 5 mins flat lol.
