Any lighting suppliers / specialists on here? I need LED down lights!
Hi Guys
We're having the whole house refurbished and need approx 30-40 down lights (fire-rated). Will also need the LED bulbs to go with them. Are there any suppliers on here that could I could purchase from? Or if anyone knows a supplier? Many thanks! Suraj |

I have been in the lighting industry for 25 years, but we only supply commercial lighting. However, I can offer some advice if needed.
For the bulbs you can't beat these. If it's GU10 you are looking for. https://www.lightrabbit.co.uk/60-smd...quivalent.html I shopped everywhere for the right ones. The trouble with the screwfix and DIY shop ones is that they have quite a narrow beam angle which creates light pools on the walls and in the bathroom etc. These have 60 SMD's with 120° beam angle and give a nice even spread. If you register they often email you voucher codes for 20-30% off. A word of warning: If you buy surface mount LED lighting then you don't necessarily need heat shields in the loft as the lamps are fairly cool to touch. However, in the future if you sell your house somebody might change an LED out for halogen at some point which could cause a fire if you don't install the heat shields. |

I bought these. They have been good, have the wide beam angle and are a very good price:
