Key not recognized after engine swap
Here’s the run down I owned a 2009 n54 e90 and ended up crashing it after a year of thinking I decided to rebuild it I bought a 335i shell 2007 and got to work pulled the engine from that one and pulled the engine from the crashed one swap the ecus too but when I went to go start it, it didn’t recognize the key from my crashed car I checked all grounds, the lights come on in the car when opening the door, but it doesn’t recognize the Key when I put it in, I’m not sure how to check the cas so I’m hoping you guys can give me a little bit of help thank you

no matter what engine, the running car need to have from the donor ;
- dme - cas - cluster - keys. You can mix and match, but this will required deep coding. All this pretty easy to swap. FRM and other module can remain. |
