LED replacement

Hello guys,

BMW tell me that I have to buy a whole new cluster as I have a LED out in the rear light.

Surely there is someone out there putting new LEDs into existing clusters or just selling the LEDs and perhaps there's a 'how to...' guide.

Can anyone advise or should I just suck it up and buy a new (or used) cluster assembly?
