There's still a chance that I change to BSM and shadowline for the sinister look.

That's what I did. I figure if I get bored, I can always wrap it.

If I were to order the car today it would be black. I think it suits the car better than light colors. I imagine the car would look pretty good black on black (or hopefully we get more colors with the buckets on the LCI), dropped, with some black FI-Rs. Or even silver ones would look pretty good. To finish off the look, take the brakes off a F87C, paint them red and BAM, that will pop.

I nearly did this last week - wife almost convinced me to just go after an M3/M4 the way I want one. Probably should have listened - that train may have left the station! 😂

I love how the black car looks as the width of this car + stance = great presence.
However, for those ordering black, does it ever bother you that the details of the car get lost and a lot of the lines seem hidden? (FYI, I had a black bmw before…) |

TBH I think most of us enjoy the overall shape of the vehicle, and not so much the "little details". Making black an attractive offering.

I greatly love a black or dark blue vehicle when it is clean and not swirled all to hell. Unfortunately, either only last for so long. Dark colored autos are constant work, especially if one is OCD.

That's the problem with black, it gets dusty in no time and hides a lot of the cars lines. But, when clean and with a protective coating (i.e. wax, sealant, ceramic coating) you'll see every line on a black car. They will be very reflective and pop like crazy showing off everything. It's truly stunning how good a black car looks when clean. If someone ever devises a way to keep them clean, I'd buy my next car in black.

Not worried, actually optimistic, as I'm still not 100% sold on some of the design details. The black definitely helps mask some of the (IMHO) excessive use of contrasting black trim, compared to when paired with any of the brighter colors

wow... now THAT is sexy. Slightly smaller tips would make it better, but that’s my only complaint

I had the opportunity to be first on the list for a M2 allocation, but I backed out of that for two reasons. No individual options, so I couldn't get the spec I wanted, and they wanted $10k over sticker. |

My plan is to go BSM, black rims with the red calipers and the M Sport Seats, but I have to say these M seat colors seem a little much/ distracting quite frankly. Clownish for lack of better word. Might have to go BSM with the standard black interior, blue calipers.
