not much use now but get some silicon spray and run it on the seals once you do get into the car wills top it happening again. Also good I found when your boot lid squeeks against rear window seal in cold weather

I used Gummi Pfledge on all of the seals on my e93 a few months ago. I don't get any squeaking, it's not been cold enough to try and freeze the window to the seal but I had no problem with my MINI last year.

I used to get this on my e46.

Ice forms on the window seal that runs along the top of the door, so scrape that off first.

If the window is still stuck, a gentle push on the window will flex the rubber seals that run along the top and side of the window a fraction enough to free them up.

That is the answer.

Had exactly the same problem on my A7 and Gummi Pfledge (got it off Amazon) worked a treat. Most other solutions seem to have side effects

I bought some "liquid ice scraper" last year which I put in the boot in case I had to park outside over night. Never had to use it though. Is that stuff bad for the rubber seals or anything else on the car?

Yes, probably glycol based. The stuff I got was blue and worked well for defrosting windows, used it on another car. It's probably time for this stuff to go in my trunk again, just in case..

Any ideas where I can get some from? eBay and Amazon seem like they are either sold out or never had any....

Cheers
