Stock XI springs vs Eibach or HR

Ive recently overhauled my suspension, replaced struts and shocks with koni active, tires replaced with pilot sport 4 all seasons (love those)....The ride has improved drastically but I feel like I should have changed springs instead of reusing the stock xi springs. To all the more experienced minds than mine, how big of a difference do say eibach springs make vs the stock xi springs. Im trying to get just a little smoother ride, can someone suggest a good spring? Im not sure if eibach or HR or any other would be best. Or if any other suspension upgrade would help, by all means tell me what you think. Thanks a ton in advance.

335xi here i started the other way round with first changing the springs to Eibach PRO KIT and i am yet to change other parts on the suspension. Definitely a great improvement in stability and car feels way sportier but there is a known issue with sport springs/stock shocks and the suspension bottoms out a lot more especially on big bumps it feels really rough from the inside as if a wheel fell off. Maybe you will be fine with this now that you have koni shocks/i think i read it fixes this issue/. Apart from this all good and car feels amazing at speed and taking corners/predictive not like before/. For a tuned 335xi 400+hp the stock springs are not good you are constantly going up/on acceleration/ and down/ on braking/ and car felt floaty. I don't have experience with the H&R springs though. Car sits a little lower too. You should change the springs as well.

If you're wanting the smoothest ride quality, I think the stock springs are the best choice. This platform doesn't have a ton of bump travel to work with, so reducing that further will increase the amount of bottoming out you do (unless you increase spring rate which most perceive to be less comfortable).

If you're looking for a more planted feel in exchange for a little smoothness, then afermarket springs can get you there. I'm not as familiar with the xi's, but I know on the rwd's, Eibachs are a mixed bag because they are lower but not stiffer than stock leading some to hit the bump stops more often than they'd like.

pretty much the answer I needed, thank you for chiming in and confirming that. I should have mentioned the idiots that put my front konis on didnt put the bump stops on, but then again the car came without them so they assumed it was oem like that. Ive since taken some bump stops and installed them with the struts mounted as a temp fix. Basically had to cut them vertically and fit them around the strut and use a zip tie to re secure them and hold them in place until i can have it done correctly. Not sure if this is adding to ride quality.

I appreciate that info, thats super helpful and speaks volumes to how critical springs are based on your input. Yea ya know I had an e46, and e83 x3 and a f25 x3 and I think this e92 328xi had the worst stock suspension ive experienced from any bmw, they really went cheap on us with the AWD cars. You would think they would have put a ittle more money into them being Xdrive is a relatively new drive system for them especially back when the e90 was released. They should have tried to impress the world with the concept of awd capability without suspension compromise, just my thinking. One thing I have learned through all this, and this being my first vehicle i overhauled the suspension, ITS NOT CHEAP!! LOL
