2011 328xi on a 2006 325i compatibility?
Hello, I’m looking at picking up a set of 225/45/R17 stock bmw rims/winter tires combo from a 2011 328xi
I want to put them on my 2006 325i that is currently running stock 205/55/R16s rims and tired Should I be worried about fitment for these or is it pretty much plug and play here. Im pretty sure it should be good but I’m not 100% Any confirmation would be amazing. Thanks |

It should be plug and play. The new tires are only a few mm larger in diameter, and no worry there. The only significant difference is the 17" wheels from the 328xi will be 1" wider. Given the offsets, that'll mean the wheel will be about 0.5" closer to the strut and to the fender, but you'll still have plenty of clearance. The 2006 325i had an option for 17" wheels with the exact same spec.
