Picked up my car about 2 hours ago after getting Koni FSDs, Eiback Pro Kit springs and a set of Hotchkis sway bars(front and rear).
One word to describe it for me is Fanfu_kingtastic! This is how I wanted my car to ride.
The drop was about 1 inch which was not bad, but I really didnt want a drop in the first place but these arent adjustable so cant do much about that.
The first thing i noticed was that the car now feels like it is firmly planted on the road. Before it always felt like the car was just above the road, not really in touch with it. It feels like my E46 did.
The ride on normal city streets and 2 lane highways is better than stock. Less bumping around and I dont feel every crack in the road. Very much smoother and less head rattling.
On the 2 lane highway as I got up to speed and hit some of the winding parts I was even more pleased. The handling is great! Turns were no problem and I had no trouble with understeer. I did not push it too hard as it was rush hour and I wanted to get a feel before really pushing it more.
When I got home I had that stupid grin I used to have after driving a BMW. My wife even laughed when she saw the smile. Said something about a little kid who just got a new toy.
Tis setup seems like a perfect balance for me. I get the comfy ride I like with the handling I wanted. With the suspension and handling mods added to Dinan Stage 2, I love my car again.

Im debating between this setup, coilovers and koni yellows with h and r sport

This is the first time i have ever modded my suspension but I must say I am very happy with it. My son wanted me to get coilovers but I am not that tech savvy to be able to adjust them and I would be fiddling with the settings for years trying to get it just right. Shit, I have had the car over a year and I am still seeking the perfect drivers seat setup. Imagine if i was trying to adjust the suspension. If you are into being able to adjust and change the settings to tune the car for various road types or tracking it, coilovers seem like the way to go, it seems like the people that have them are happy they did. For me I am content with this setup, plus I was able to get the struts, springs, and sway bars for the cost of coilovers. I really wanted to get sway bars at the same time so that was also a big plus.

That looks really good! Perfect drop in my opinion. Thank you very much for sharing your experience with that--coilovers are great, but it's definitely true that the FSD/Prokit (and even sway bars to top it off) is a great choice when it comes to keeping is more simple and still have a great ride

According to Koni's web site, the FSD shocks are intended for stock springs -- i.e., ones with no drop. The Koni sports are the ones supposedly intended for aftermarket springs like Eibach and H&R that lower the vehicle. Is this not the case? (Apparently not since you seem well-pleased with your setup.)

Thks for the compliments! After having this for a couple hundred miles of mixed driving can say that I am still very happy with this setup and my 18 yr old tuner son loves it too.
This setup was shown on a few sites that sell aftermarket and it was shown togethere(Koni FSD and Eibach pro). That is where i got the idea. Then I read some reviews on here and asked a couple people and it seemed like what I wanted. The other springs were more track oriented i thought, and I think that they were piaired up with Koni yellow on a few places I saw.
I guess it boils down to how you like it to ride. Most of my driving is around town or highway so I needed something with a decent ride but wanted better handling for the fun twisty roads. This worked! The Sway bars make a lot of difference in the handling from what I understand. Since i got it all done at once i can't say how it would have handled with just bars or just the struts and springs. Together they really make a difference.

The koni website is not showing updated information..the same shocks are recommended for stock height and for with eibach springs

How much did it cost to install the shocks, springs, and sway bars? I am thinking of doing the same setup myself. Do you experience any rubbing or bottoming out?

The shocks/springs should run you ~200 for install...the sways vary greatly depending on how comfortable your installer is with the rear sway install for the e90/92...

As for bottoming out..havent experienced that, had the car on the springs/shocks for a few thousand miles now

Cost me $700 for everything including the alignment. So far I have had no rubbing or bottoming out. It isnt that much lower than before and I am pretty careful.

I also noticed that the Koni web site only shows the Eibach/FSD kit available for the E90 sedan not the e92 coupe. Are the FSD/Eibach shocks that come with the lowering kit different from the the standard FSD kit because the standard kit says that the shocks must be used with stock height suspension?

I saw on the Eibach website that they have their own damper kit to go with the pro-kit springs, but I haven't read of anyone installing them.

Hey guys, I am thinking into lowering my car 335i coupe, with eibach's pro kit, I have 19x9 with 245 front and 19x10 275Rear. My question here is if the rears goes to low and Rub, Is it possible to only drop the front without compromising the ride? i mean install the front eibachs and leave the OE sort spring in the back. Thanks for your tips.

FSD+Eibachs are one of the best "mild" setups we can get for our cars. Its pretty much THE setup to get if you don't want to get coilovers.

Hi Im new to this post. I have 2007 335i coupe and wanted to upgrade to 19 in LC lemans. I'am planing to get H&R sport spring. My question is do i need to replace my shocks? Or can i keep my stocks? I have 50k on my car. Thanks

I also had started out with the Koni FSD/Eibach Pro-kit and was pleased at the time with the ride.
Then, I dropped the Eibach springs in lieu of the H&R race springs. The FSD shocks are still in place & Hotchkis front/rear sway bars were added to the mix when the H&R springs went in.

If you think the car rides like it's planted now ........ you should take mine for a spin & see what it feels like to be on rails AND have a VERY comfortable ride.

LOL ... our cars even sport the Dinan Stage II. Good "conservative" taste, huh?
