You could always have it wrapped or custom painted (your chance to get the individual color you want)

This is funny stuff. The year after 1M production, Matchbox made a die cast model in blue of all colors, something we could never order but all lusted after.

I usually thin of diecast as metal, not plastic.

I wish they would show images of their actual model for visual reference (not the actual production car). LOL An AutoArt or MiniChamps would be a much better unit to buy.

There are some shots of the actual item (or a prototype thereof) here:

Looks pretty good. Not Auto Art level of detail. But good none the less.

I received my GT Spirit G87 M2 today. Nice piece. I thought it might be fun to include some pictures of it with the real deal. I didn't remove it from the base because it is a gift and I have to put it back in the box for a while...

Just received mine. kinda cool they are only doing 1600. Quality is pretty good. Just figured for $100+ it would be more functional. I have a collection of over 150+ 1:18 models, mostly maisto, some burago, etc.. So rather surprised you cant open the hood, doors, trunk. The wheels do not turn (only straight), and No suspension. Kinda goes to show you the quality of Maisto that gives you all of these for $20-$40 each. Happy to have this, especially in ZB to match my car. Just annoying of the $100+.Name: IMG_7010.jpg

GT Spirit is Resin model brand, as a nature of closed resin construction it won’t have any opening parts but the trade off you get is better paint uniformity overall and more true to the shape modeling compared to diecast. But I do agree for some cars I prefer opening parts and AutoArt does a pretty good QC for panel gap etc. also, not a big fan of foil it used on resin models, they are so flimsy lol.

With that being said & all things considered, has Maisto made a model for the G87 M2 yet... ?
