Will there be anymore allocations for 2024MY

I am working with a dealer here in S. Cali and they feel they may not get anymore allocations until MY2025.

Why exactly do you want a 2024 over a 2025?

why do your dealer feel this way?? any inside scoop?
how long have you waited for your allocation?
I waited for 6 months already, and hoping to get the car for Spring.

If we have to wait for MY2025 production to start, that may push it out to fall/winter timeframe

Garage List
2023 BMW M2  [9.67]
That reminds me of summer 2022 when I went to test drive a Golf 7, and the dealer told me the Golf 8 was 2 or 3 years away from being launched (as he wanted me to buy the 7 he had on the lot/in transit).

Good times.

I have been out of the allocation picture since I got mine ~9 months ago but why would there be no drops for the next three plus months?

I would contact many dealerships and see who has one available. I am sure the '24 allocations will be around until June.

I just bought one off the lot out of state, from the day I called until delivery was about 3 weeks max. They were struggling to move it for a couple of weeks so they even split the transportation cost (enclosed carrier was 1700) and brought the interest rate down to BMWs prime of 5.29 from 6.39 they wanted at first.

My build is a minimal build with a 6MT. I negotiated a little off MSRP as well. I want TR or AW.

How's the real demand on the M2?

I've listed mine for sale for months(although not been very active on it) and not much action going on. Yet seems like allocation is still not easy to come by?

I have a friend in a similar scenario. I think the factor to consider is most people are okay waiting (given the state of the economy) and saving for a spec that they can order for almost the same price as purchasing used. That’s just my assumption though. I think there’s a subset of people also holding out for the LCI as well

I think the demand for M2 is still strong (relatively speaking compared to other sport coupe). However, used M2 may not moved because the price is about the same as new. And most people are willing to wait a few months for a new one.

Yeah, I am wanting an M2 but I really want to get one that I get to spec out (M Performance parts and all) and am willing to wait...especially if buying used is close to buying new. I can see buying used if you really want to the car and can't wait.

Agreed. M2 is a nice to have but not a necessity. For most people, it's not going to be their only car. Thus, most people are willing to wait for a new M2 than settle for a used M2 at the same price as a new M2.

These cars are not hard to find an allocation for anymore and it's only getting easier month by month.
