Front bumper damage & potential headlight damage - recommendations?
Managed to collide with some small animal in the dark at 70mph last night, clipped him with the left side of my bumper causing some damage to the bumper, kidney grills, fog light housing and splitter will all need replacing. Pics attached
I'd claim on insurance but I'd rather keep my NCB as my renewal is up soon. I've tried looking for car breakers for a glacier silver msport bumper but no results for a good condition replacement. It's going to have to be an aftermarket unit This workshop has good reviews, £610 for the bumper to be sprayed and shipped However I notice that the passenger headlight (RHD) has a bit of spacing between the headlight and the hood, it also sits lower and is rotated inwards a bit compared to the other headlight. From what I can see the headlight mounting points in the engine bay look ok, lights function as they should. Do you think it'd be a simple re-alignment job once the new bumper is fitted? Lastly, how much does fitting of a new bumper usually cost? I've never had to deal with this sort of thing before, thanks! |

there's a chance that one of the headlight mounting brackets is broken, just a FYI, BMW sells headlight mount repair kits that you can repair it with.
