E90 328i Brake pads?
Im looking at replacing all my pads pretty soon but dont want to go the dealer ship and spend $1900. Im probably going to try to do it myself. What are some good Brake pad companies/manufacturers you would recommend? I was looking at Hawk Performance compound brakes.
Thanks!! |

You can buy genuine BMW pads that do not dust as badly as your original BMW factory pads, you simply get pads similar to those factory installed in 2011 E90s.

Zimmerman rotors (from thepartsbin.com) and Akebono Ceramics...They work great and keep the wheels clean for long time. I am very pleased with this combo.

Zimmerman Rotors and Akebono are a good combination. But after driving both, I prefer Cool Carbon pads over Akebono.
And be sure to do the "seating" procedures after you do the change per the manufacturer specs. |

Zimmerman and Jurid pads(OE Pads). My OE Pads actually say Jurid on them.
I've have akebonas and do not like them at all. I hate how I lost the initial bite when braking. Other than that they're pretty good but I like the OE brakes. |

I went to a local shop and they said they could do my front and rears all for around $250. They said their pads were high quality ceramic that they use on most general vehicles but they didnt say what company made them. Should i just go for it or buy from companies like Stoptech, Hawk, Akebono, etc.

My OE brakes cost me like 80 just for the fronts. Rotors probably another 150-200. That's just fronts.. |

asshole autozone considers 335i and 328i interchangeable. They sent me pads with tabs on them I had to break off.

Yep, agreed. I run Zimms and Akebonos and love 'em. Great for daily drivers, but not too keen if tracking. Good luck OP.

Bought Wagner brakepads from Amazon for $35-40 after rebate. Paid $40 labor so only $80 total for all 4 brake pads. Its been a year and no issue.
