Help me finish replacing my trunk badge
I used the fishing line and goo off to get the badge and foam off, but I still have what looks like the adhesive left. What Can I use or do to take it off? Thanks

^ what this guy said.
Replacing or debadging? You do realize that lining those numbers up exactly is no simple task correct? Getting them spot on is damn near impossible and unless they are spot on, they will stick out like a sore thumb. It may look better to simply leave them off once you have the adhesive mess sorted out. |

If the adhesive is still standing 'proud' with some thickness on the surface of the paint, I'd go after it with Goo Gone first. If, after that, there's still some thin layer of adhesive, try 3M Adhesive Remover. Once the paint is smooth to the touch, recommend machine polishing it to get rid of any shadow of the letters that might remain in certain light.
And then you will need to wax/seal the area, as adhesive remover strips wax. |
