WD40 is your friend. It will be full of gunk that it stopping it.
Remove the body coloured part, then grab and pull out the washer (it's spring oaded, and will offer up a lot of resistance). Spray tonnes of WD40 in there and then pull out and push back repeatedly.
Then re-fit cover and it should sort it out.

They're such a sh1t design.

Rusty spring is likely. Had to buy new caps from BMW for my 2010 LCI. Problem sorted.

Not much help, but the headlight washers can easily be disabled through Carley. Might be less effort than fixing if you have access?

I do this, but need to turn them back on to MOT - they failed me last time as I hadn't.

Xenons must have working washers.

I have the same issue with one of mine. Decent video here on how to sort it but I haven't gotten around to it.

Mine don't work at all, I didn't know I had them till I heard the motor running.
Don't think they will have been working when it was MOTd before I bought it.
Shall try the WD40 bit first but I bet iv'e to take em to bits.....

Thanks for the video.

Just bought 2 new washers as one of mine doesn't fully retract. Will have a go at cleaning them out first.

Fortunately I only spent £9 each on pattern parts.
