Drainplug Washer?

Anybody try to buy a drainplug recently? The last one I bought was a transfer case plug 3y ago. It cost about $25, which I thought was a bit pricey. Just went to the local $tealer looking to get a new MT drainplug. Price: $65!!!

It sucks that BMW integrates the o-ring directly in the drainplug and that the o-ring is not separately replaceable.

Anybody try using a copper/nylon washer instead of buying a new drainplug? I refuse to pay $65 for a new one. From US online retailers they're only USD$12. Is it only CDN $tealers charging these outrageous prices?
