I want my car to be mean and fast and loud
So, I've been searching everywhere and I cant find anything relevant- please dont flame!
I have a pre LCI BR e90 335i M sport with CA CWP Logic 7 Navigation Sport package paddle shifters ipod adapter custom grills radar detector window tint and runflat tires. Ya, I know. Its pretty special. But! I want it to be faster. I was talking to my best friend who owns a shop and is yoked with a shaved head (ya we call him vin diesel! LOLZ) and he knows like everything about cars and chips and tuning and stuff that makes more horsepowers. I told him that I wanted my car to be fast like his, and that I had heard someone say that there are these "chips" for the 335i that can make it uberfast. He said it was a bad idea though because why would you trick the ECU with dummy signals on a really special 50 thousand dollar car? It was a good point. Im no dummy and dont want to trick my car either... That doesnt sound safe. But I want my car to be faster still. Is there a safe reliable chip for my car that I can buy for like $275 that will add like 100hp, improve gas mileage, not void warranty without tricking my car? which one is best? Like I said, I've searched everywhere and I just dont know what to do. Please help! |

Probably because he's trying to act like a 19 year old. Considering his sig says he has meth and a special 15 ohm JB4 board, I think he knows the answer to his question.

I guess it was an attempt at recreating threads I read every day here and wondering how they keep coming, mixed with a little humor for those who've had their cars for 4 or 5 or 6 years and have been reading these for that long. All wit and humor aside, delve into the all encompassing example of what we'd all do better without. Moral of the story being... READING > POSTING thanks for reading everyone and thanks skinrock for the astute observation. |

Im willing to be called a troll in hopes that even a few people take to reading more and posting less. I'd like more effort from everyone to declutter the forum with the same new threads over and over and over and over for years now. But maybe I'm unique in that respect.
"good call" Hahahah I can just see the lightbulb turning on above your head after receiving his clarification... Im a troll who wants more organization and less clutter then, believing that less redundancy will produce more progress due to increased initiative and less of a follower fanboy mentality. Shame on me lol |

Each owner should ave the right to explore and post the same questions that you my have years ago. It maybe that to you and other alike the questions are asked and answered but fir them they are new and exciting. I would suggest be a roll model and not a hater and just help the newer users find there way. To act like you are superior for the simple fact that you asked the dumb questions first and years ago does not negate the fact that the question was still dumb when you asked it. Just my 2 cents.

I've been here since March and I read the forum nearly every day. Despite that, my post count is pretty low. That's because I don't start a new thread every time I have a question about my car. I understand the value of the search function.
While it is admirable that there are people willing to constantly answer those repeat questions, doing so without any mention of the search function simply reinforces the entitled attitude that far too many people have these days. If you regularly answer those repeat questions, might I suggest performing the search yourself and providing the link in your reply. That way you're answering them but at the same time demonstrating that their questions can be answered by searching. There's nothing wrong with a gentle reminder that they're not the first person to ask that particular question and that's why there is a search function. |

I see your point and get frustrated as well. Many of the posts are redundant questions; that in itself isn't horrible. The problem is that most of the answers to the redundant questions are already covered in topics which are active and usually on page 1 of the forum (usually right in the title).
I'm all for a community that contributes and asks questions, but a little forum decorum (if you will) would go a LONG way. |

The open market will work. Dumb posters will crowd out educated posters, and those educated posters will go elsewhere. History lesson: LS forums.
