16k mile - 2011 328i e90 m-sport manual

Figured this car needed a proper introduction/thread here on the forum as this forum along with my buddy Antetokounmpo are the reasons im still obsessed with e8x and e9x cars…

Background: bought my first e82 via an another forum user here back in 2018. It was a loaded 2013 low mileage 128i m sport LCI with a 6 speed in Alpine Weiss. Drove it for about 2 years and sold it during covid to BMWCCA1 (glad its in good hands ). Also picked up my wife’s grandmothers 2006 325i around the same time for a daily. Regretting seliing the 128i constantly.

Fast forward the next few years to about 6 months ago where I was looking to buy myself a new car. Started out with wanting a F31 (figured a more modern BMW couldn’t really be that bad for a daily/ski car plus ive always wanted a wagon)… shipped a loaded diesel M sport F31 then a 330 f31, via CarMax, out to me and just wasn’t stoked on either… next i started looking at used Golf R MK8.5 (Mk9 yuck..) or Corolla GRs so i could have a modern/manual/AWD (I moved out to CO in the last few years and like the idea of AWD for the first time) but didn’t love the Golf and didn’t want to drop 40/50k for the GRC… so late one night a few months ago I was doing my usual nightly search on Craigslist across the country for all kinds of cars and came across a short ad with 2 grainy pictures of a “16k mile 2011 328i bmw” which immediately caught my eye because i could tell by the picture it was a m sport LeMans Blue e90….

The car: the Craigslist ad read “1 owner 16k original miles 2011 bmw 328i”. Short description that called out the manual trans and listed the vin. With a quick search I realized it was a special car… mostly loaded 2011 lemans blue 328i m sport manual single hump. I knew it was either too good to be true or a crazy find. Turned out to be the latter so I pulled the trigger sight unseen and had my dad buy it for me a few days later in Michigan.

I just drove it for the first time this past weekend and… it’s amazing. I was in high school when these cars were new and never drove a new one so basically getting the chance now is beyond cool. For the next few weeks/months it’s going to out to CO to share daily duty with my e36 M345 and JKU (yes intend to have an affinity for older hydraulic steering/manual cars) and then I’ll decide what to do with the it from there… I’ll keep posting here and instagram @three_pedal_garage for those interested

For now. I’m glad this forum still exists and grateful for all I’ve learned via it and the great users. Excited to document this latest journey for current and future users

Holy smokes what a find. Mine had 73k on it but 16k, sheesh. Looks straight garage kept. I honestly wish I had cover for mine haha.

You might get a kick out of the CaB auction that just closed for 328i LMB 6sp with sport package and manual sport seats, single hump, and 96k miles. $18,250. Figure $5k premium for the six speed, another couple of k for the sport package, another couple of k for color and no I-drive and then the seller and backstory was just cool too.

Getting low mileage N52 motors in cool cars is just flat out fun. I'm a big fan. Cheers

The car is a unicorn, the mileage alone make it rare then add the color combination and manual makes it a unicorn. I would drive it, enjoy it and be the envy of the BMW community.

Forget envy, its just a prime specimen we can all appreciate. 16k miles will become 18k then 20k next. It is nice to see as I try to keep mine close to stock as possible but is not a particular prime except imo. Best regards.

You are a lucky man. I’m glad it found its way into the hands of someone who knows what they have.

Enjoy! :-)

First drive to the office today was amazing. Feels so much like a new car it’s crazy. Ordered all the fluids, filters from FCP and will get that stuff changed out this coming weekend but so far it’s perfect. Now if only I could find a PE…

Dude this is so awesome...
An almost new E90 328i LCI in 2024 in a beautiful color and even manual!

I'd like to know how much you paid for this ride.

I got a black 2010 328i, just hit 110K miles.

Update - just hit 18k miles this weekend. I have to admit I still think my 128i m sport 6MT was more fun…. Maybe that’s just nostalgia talking but either way…

After a few months and some real miles I’m starting to ask myself what I want to do with this car. I’m so nervous driving it around that I’m almost not enjoying it. I got a large rock chip in the windshield the other day (will get the glass replaced soon ugh) and a small blemish in the bumper from likely a rock as well. Usually those types of things wouldn’t bother me that much but this car feels like a time capsule. I know it’s not a M car or something actually that special but it’s just so nice it’s hard to justify the daily duty.

Long story short. For the right offer I think I’d consider letting it go… to someone who will enjoy it as a special car. I just don’t have the room to keep it as a 4th car haha. If anyone here is interested send me a DM and let’s chat.
