Best wheel ceramic?

Just finished the whole car except for the wheels.

Need to know what the best stuff is.

Seems like Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armor and Adam’s UV Ceramic are strong contenders.

Anybody with experience with either?

My detailer used Gyeon Rim. I then added Gyeon Cure. Looks great and brake dust falls off with a hose.

Thanks for your helpful post. You’ve added a lot of wisdom to this forum with your post.

Project Farm YT does a comparison of consumer level coatings. Adam's easily beat the rest.

Brands: Adam’s, Nano Bond, Hybrid Solutions, Advanced Graphene, Cerakote, Chemical Guys, Topcoat F11Pro, Shine Armor. Ceramic coatings compared for slickness and durability after exposure to warm water, hot water, and various chemicals.

I also use Gyeon Rim with very good results. It's super slick and as RussV stated, the brake dust washes right off. I applied myself, which was very easy. As with anything, prep is key so make sure you do a thorough clean and decon first. I like Gyeon products, so I recommend Q²M Iron, Total Remover and Prep before applying the ceramic coating.

Second the Gyeon recommendations. I use the same and follow up after intermittently with Wet Coat.

Man why CG lmao Stop recommending that crap.

Another vote for Gyeon. No personal experience, but based on all forum data and my own experience with Pure/Cure I am a huge fan of their products.

Other than that Carpro and Gtechniq's products would be the best. I wouldn't really look at anything else tbh

I'm pretty sure he was listing all the brands Project Farm included in the test that Adam's won. Not stating those are all recommended.

I agree Chemical Guys has very few products worth using and overall it's easier to just ignore the brand entirely since so many don't perform well at all.

So what? You're going to get the same results with any reputable coating. And it doesn't have to be wheel specific, that's a marketing gimmick that lures people like you in. I'm actually helping you by telling you not to over think it. Pick something decent and you're done. How are people so helpless?

If you have to tell someone that you’re helping them, then you’re not really helping them. Independent tests disagree with your opinion so it’s not the gospel truth as you make it out to be. No need to be condescending…

Correct. I listed the brands he tested.

Pro level will outperform consumer level, but will need better prep. If youvare willing to do the prep it will be better.

Since I always have some CarPro CQuartz UK3 laying around I do my summer/winter wheels before I put them on for the season. Does what a ceramic does and when I swap them out I don't have to spend much time cleaning the take offs.

It easily lasts for those split season months. A year of winter maybe it wouldn't last but a year of summer weather it would.

I used Gyeon Rim for my track wheels and it works great. Brake dust doesn't really stick, and washes off very easily.

Lots of top shelf products out there these days. I grew up watching AMMO NYC detailing vids and use his products. Work great. Can be on the more expensive side compared to some of the sprays out there.

My gloss black rims are coated with Gyeon Rim, faces and barrels. After the final rinse of the paintwork and rims I use Koch Chemie Protector Wax in my foam cannon to cover the paintwork and rims, then rinse straight off, no dwell time required. It's one of the best spray on rinse off products I've used, 15ml of product in 500ml of water is ample to fully cover my X40i.

We install GYEON Rim to all our customer vehicles who get the exterior coated. Follow it up with wetcoat on maintenance washes. They are happy with the results. If you have any questions, let me know.

If you would like a bottle, we are also a vendor for them and offer discounts to forum members.

Do you have a pricing on a bottle?

I just ceramic coated my winter wheels with two coats of Armour Detail Supply Wheel Coating. After thoroughly washing them I used CarPro eraser to do finial prep. I probably should have let it sit a bit longer before wiping it off but that's my fault. Just watch videos and read the directs, it seemed to go on and off like others I've used in the past. They're not installed on the car yet so can't speak to how Armour works short or longterm but a great option to also check out.

I'm coating my new Volk 21A wheels in the Armour Detail Supply wheel coating that Obsessed Garage sells this weekend. Used it on a few sets of wheels now and its been super easy to apply and has held up to track heat well
