Gauges Stopped working after Battery Change

I changed out the battery on my 1999 323i this morning at Auto Zone. Afterwards, driving away...I noticed my instrument cluster gauges were all flatlined...none working.

The young man that assisted with the replacement at Auto Zone affixed a memory save instrument that he plugged in under the dash on the drivers side before removing the old battery. Other than that, it was all standard procedure with the swap from old to new.

Any advice on this unusual problem would be apprecitated.

Best,
JB
