Buying an Icon: The E30 M3

I owed an E30 M3 from 2003 to 2007. It was my first performance car, first BMW and first M Power car. It ultimately led me to start Evolve in 2007 and then Eventuri in 2014 with Bilal.

Since then many M Power cars have come and gone but over the last few years I've been building a nice collection of M Cars with Bilal as we share the same passion for BMW M.

The E30 M3 wasn't really on our list as we like driving the cars and I always thought the M3 was underpowered. Its why I traded it for a Z3M Coupe in 2007.

I had a call from a friend who told me an exceptional E30 M3 was coming up for sale and I should take a look at it. He sent the pictures over, I had a quick chat with Bilal and the rest as they say is history.

Congrats to you and Bilal. That's gotta be the best example you can possibly find.

Looks like a clean and pristine example Imran@Evolve ! Congrats to you and Bilal. Keep up the great work.

When BMWs were BMWs. It truly doesn't get much better than that. Well done.

Why didn't they dry the humidity out of the high beams or add new seals or new units. That car went for 120k pounds range if I it's the car I thinking is would have to check S14power. It's beautiful but then there's this https://glenshelly.com/sales/1988-bmw-m3-parts-project

Which is a crazy good deal that comes with 3 S14's.

Not trying to take away from OP's car it's stunning and I wished mine looked that beautiful. Mine is pushed into the corner of the garage awaiting BMW to decide wether they want to support the US market. We can't buy an 2.5L anymore which is a crying shame

Not on the list of cars to acquire but it was too good to pass up on. Hopefully we made the right decision!

What's right, what's wrong, who the hell knows. As long as we can enjoy these cars while we can before they become like horses.

Will have to buy up some ghost towns and rent the roads out per hour!

Much like horses are now a select crowd not mainstream, I think ICE human driven cars will become something similar.

I had an E30 M3 between 2001 and 2003. Did 40K miles in that time and was my first true performance car. Should never had sold it, but I bought an Integrale EVO after that ... which I should have never sold either!

I should add, speed was never the thing about the E30 M3. It was always the package and the sum of the parts.

I hope everyone that says this realizes how insanely expensive horses are. The future is going to suck.
