Different grill options?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Are there any different grill inserts or options avail for the M240I yet?

My M340I lease will be ending soon-ish and I'm strongly considering the 2 series this time around.

Any ways to make the 2series grill more like the 4series? (joking lol)

In all seriousness, I love the shape of the M240i grill. I just don't think the actual insert/plastic flaps do it much justice. The M340i does a good job of covering the plastic vents with the diamond pattern in front. I'm really curious how a different grill inserted would look on this.

I know the 3 series has some different options so I'm just curious.

Cheers everyone

The grill on this car is active. It opens and closes based on ventilation needs. It's way cooler than dimond shape imo

lol... the diamond grill is active as well, and opens and closes, so I'm not sure where you're headed with that one. It looks much nicer without having the flat plastic exposed like on the 2 series. If you look at the 2 series photo at the top of the forum, it almost looks like the 2 series has gills in the grill imo. Being that the 3 series has a few different options for people, I was hoping the 2 would as well.

There's no option for the grille itself. And imo the plastic slats look way cooler than the diamond pattern on the 3. However how can have cerium grey, silver, gloss black or M Performance carbon fibre as a surround for the grille. Depending on trim level

I think the 240 looks better, 100% business. The 340 looks artificial/filler, and I think the top part is even closed off.

So far the carbon fiber or black is my favorite! I don't mind the cerium grey as much anymore as it has grown on me a bit, but overall I think the 2 is a clear winner for BMW. Excited to see what people start doing to them as well

There is a carbon fiber front grille surround available. It's a BMW M Performance part. IMO it's not my favorite. I would think vendors would come out with some other options.

I have no idea what would be involved but I'd love to see the slats themselves be swapped with carbon fiber
