staggered setup on 335i?

hey guys i could use alittle help on this topic. i own a 2009 335i and i want to run a staggered setup for wheels. i want to know if anyone knows or has a setup on their 335 and what would give me less problems. i asked around and some people told me 19x10 in the rear you have to do some fender rolling. so does that mean if i find a 9.5 in the rear i would be ok. again i really want to stay away from the fender rolling or any modifications, so what would be the max i would go running a staggered setup?

Depends on offset too.

If muscles had the right offset he wouldnt need spacers.

See below for diagrams etc explaining offset measurement.

The offset, or ET measurement in millimetres, determines the position of the mounting point of the wheel in relation to the centreline of the wheel (see diagram below)

Looking at the picture above, note that the left hand side is the brake side, and the right hand side is the outer edge of the wheel.

In the left image, you can clearly see that the mounting point is positively offset to the right of the centreline of the wheel - so for instance an ET37 wheel will have the mounting point 37mm to the right of the centreline.

The middle image shows no offset at all, so the mounting point is in the same position as the centreline of the wheel.

The right image shows negative offset.

The higher the positive offset value, the more the wheels sits IN towards the hubs. The lower the offset value the closer to the wheelarch. In both cases, the width of the wheel is constant, the only thing that changes is the mounting position relative to the centreline of the wheel.

All I'm saying is you could have gone wider with different offset and you wouldnt need spacers.

Can anyone confirm the max +offsets for LCI and pre-LCI, front/rear.

I have been told that the front is the same, so should be +30.

For the rears, the LCI are 8mm wider per side, so +35 and +XX for pre-LCI?

Thanks in advance - not sure why these questions aren't stickied.

You can run a 19x10 +37 on a 09+ e90 without any issues as long as you go with a 265.30.19 tire in the rear

If you are super low, you may need a fender roll, but for the most part it's a pretty straight forward setup

If 10" was too aggressive, wheel manufactures wouldn't produce it...we produce 2 types of wheels, 1 for the average person who wants a direct bolt on and 1 for the person who wants to do what it takes to get crazy aggressive on their car.

The direct option is where a bulk of the sales come from though, so if a 10" wasn't an easy fit, we would have moved down to a 9.5 a long time ago

Not to hijack the thread.
What about if your running a coilover system, lets say KW 2's?
Would you have some rubbing with 19x10's @ ET37

Thanks

There are many variables and its tough to say yes or no. Depending on your specific height, alignement, and tire manufacturer, rubbing issues may occur.
