Exclamation New PROcede CANbus maps (4-22)

See here

Please be sure to read the Map Details at the bottom. Things are a little difference with respect to User Torque. This is in preparation for the new auto-tuning feature we are working on now. We will also be releasing a new User Software version with a new Ignition Correction adjustable within the next several days. This is also in preparation of the new features. For now, these adjustments will be manual. Soon, they will be automatic. These maps also incorporate a less conservative IAT based ignition retard mapping as some folks with stock FMICs noticed that power dropped off in higher gears. The earlier mapping was safe but just a bit too conservative. The new mapping should feel better on the road.

Also note that Map2 is a dedicated race gas map. It is a completely different map than Map1. Different boost, timing and fuel curves. So please use responsibly (and read the documentation)!

Cheers,
Shiv

I think I just confused myself. This is an auto or manual map?

Finally!! If I have DP, CAI, exhaust, I should use stage 2 map as usual, or I can run stage 3 map 1 as well?

The different default Torque setting are a little confusing.

Is this Stage 1 CANbus set (at UT 70%) the same in power and torque as the BETA CANbus Stage 1 that I have been running (at UT 90%)???

Sorry for the questions...

Yes, that is correct. The idea is that user torque is going to be more representative of boost pressure independent of mods/stage.

What differences should we look forward to with these new maps versus the Beta CANbus maps? Anything significant or are they pretty much the same?

Better performance when IATs are high. Smoother in VANOS switchover range 4200-4500rpm range. Slightly improved fuel economy. Less top end roll off (for 6ATs). A few other minor things as well. You will probably like it more

Nobody does and nobody about to start now. My 13yrs in software engineering has taught me that much. I think you are better of with two maps normal self-tune gas, and adjustable race map. Let the caputer do the optimization. I know some will say they do read. I argue the numbers are so small, they are negligeable. 90% of those who actually read, merely scan the document while the 10% really read it. Word by word. 50% of those who read it, don't quite understand what it says. They join the ranks of those who scan it...sadly true fact of life.
Suggest you don't put 70% for the UT reading. Make that range 95-100% so 1% bump actually does what the current 20% bump does. Why? Because human beings are ilogical and want more all the time. Having 70% just entices the huge percentage among us who can't help but want to get another 25% without any extra mods noi matter how dangerous it might be. Something in people makes it so we can't resist wanting a little more if its only an illusionary appearance. Ask a marketing major why they mark shit up by 10% then offer a 25% discount instead of just offering 10% and skipping the mark up step. Same shit. Our natural tendency to want more, a lot more at no extra cost at all.

1) Firmware version has not changed from 3/24 canbus maps to 4/22 canbus maps?

2) As of today, besides the User Torque value change, the documentation on user adjustables is the same?

Thanks.

Monster torque down low and all around untouched versus the Beta CANbus? I sure love that map...

this map has monstrous pull on the highway and the car sounds much more aggressive. Ive also noticed that I can hear my riss intake a lot more.Im seeing 13-15 on my boost gauge. the 15 is usually during upshifts. I wont try the race map even though i want to. I wish it wasnt there because Id like to compare different setting on the pump map.
