Frm Help!- Resolved

A little back story, I recently did a non idrive to idrive retrofit. I then updated the SP Daten files (this is where things went south I believe) My inner tail lights are now brighter than the outers. Is there a fix for this via coding? I'm at a loss as to whats going on.

I even went and bought a new FRM and installed it into the car and now with the new FRM im not getting the auto leveling in the headlights but the new FRM is AHL

Any thoughts?

Update: was a coding issue which resolved it all.

Put back your original frm, change production date for original production date (in case you have changed it because cic retrofit) and default code frm module.

Update...

I swapped back to my original FRM2... changed the production date back to #0307 with the method in the above youtube video. Below is what my headlights look like, both xenon lenses are turned inwards and the inner tail lights are brighter than outer tails

(sorry for the sideways images)

If you swap out the FRM the auto leveling will be disabled because the module has to be recoded to your car with matching vin number.

I swapped my original FRM back in and its still doing the same (once I unplug my original do I need to recode the VIN back in?)

As long as the ECU can communicate with it and the modules been coded to the car then I don't think so. Do you have any diagnostic programs? INPA? Try to read the fault codes.

Not too familiar with MHD but I know the JB4 gave me some issues reading my friends 335. Is your INPA in English or German? Go to Engine selection where you choose your ECU, pick yours, and then on the bottom it'll be the third button I believe...something along the lines of Schertlern (I was randomly clicking on mine lol) and then on the next selection should be Schertlern detail ..click the down button and it'll show you all the codes

Also, can updating the SP Daten have anything to do with these issues? I recall these issues happening after that update. But the CIC was also being retrofitted in so I could be wrong..

Anytime you touch the electrical wiring make sure you always disconnect the battery. In the morning disconnect the battery, plug in your stock FRM and then connect battery. And then read the INPA codes

Just disconnect the battery, give it a minute and then connect it

Yes, I have the original from before the car was touched for the CIC and then I have the frm trc for what it currently is. I did a text compare of them both and there are quite a bit of differences aside from the CIC and NAV fields.

All this is in the new file which isnt in my original...
