Hey. Is it normal to receive an email from BMW to continue the ‘Connected Drive Registration’ process BEFORE I have even taken delivery of the car? Is it better to wait until I’m actually sat in it?

I registered the VIN with the app months ago (and removed my previous vehicle) and just assumed I’d have to wait to ‘CONNECT YOUR BMW’ until I actually had the car.

I don’t want to screw things up by completing the registration too soon, or by not completing it now that I have an email telling me to do so…

You mean you don't want to unlock and lock it or set off the alarm remotely on your dealer? Joking aside probably wait until delivery. Make that salesman earn his money setting everything up for you.

No, it doesn’t.
The screenshot from the MyBMW app says that, which is under the screenshot of the email, that literally says, “Please accept ConnectedDrive Terms.”

Regardless of what it says, you can’t complete the registration process until you get the car, as it requires a code verification between the iDrive & your app.
