Went in for first oil service and the recall fix, came out with new font

Took the car in yesterday for first free oil change and to get the wireless charger/digital key recall done. Thought something looked different. Went and checked my software version I now have version 07/2023.35 and indeed the font on the HUD and the speedo/tach etc has changed. Here is the new font:

Is it better or worse? If they were going to the effort of changing it, you'd think they'd update it to the 8.5 'BMW' font.

Annoyingly, Waze comes up in light mode on my id8 screen until I open Waze on my phone, where I use dark mode. Then it goes to dark mode on the id8 screen as well. It used to always be in dark mode on the id8 screen

Same here.

A couple of members reported that the service department asked for their card keys for replacement.

Did anyone else have trouble re-syncing the MyBMW app after the update? My app still says there is a recall, the vehicle status isn’t updating, and the remote start no longer works. I tried resetting iDrive a couple times and reinstalling the app.

Try locking or unlocking the car with the MyBMW app. There have been a few times the app stopped working for me and locking the car through the app some how forced it to connect.
Refreshing the app didn’t do anything for me. By accident I tapped lock and it connected.
