Thanks for the information! But I think I will go for the classic 245/35 front and 255/35 rear with 9" and 9,5" wheels, thus it should be ok

So does the tyre have an actual * mark so consumers can actually tell what they have? Not just some secret internal supply chain using the exact same numbers of the tyre wall then? |

Here’s a UK press car. I expected the * to be in the tyre size info in red circle but your pic seems to show it somewhere else I can’t find. |

The tyres sizes from your screen shot are not the Ztk tyre sizes. |

And you can see there’s no star anywhere or at least I can’t find it. nype The graphics on the side of the tyres in your pic seem different to mine as well do you have a wider shot and can you highlight where the star should be? EDIT: would help if I actually uploaded the picture wouldn’t it haha |

You are an untrusting sort…
The star is on the part of the tyre that says ps4 s. The very bit that’s missing from your photo. |

But also if you see the first star post from nype something is definitely different about that tyre. The star is a different shade/style the graphics around it don’t match the other PS4S* from your picture or mine for example. Wonder if it’s just the angle but I think it may be a different tyre altogether. Either way thanks for confirming we do in fact get the * tyre. Important to know for when replacing an individual tyre due to puncture etc. |

That’s not OCD. Nype’s photo isn’t of a PS4S. It’s a Bridgestone. Probably a run flat one too. Remember market variations. US for example have several tyre options. UK basically has standard (I don’t know off hand what tyre that is) and the ZTK which is the PS4S. BMW will always provide their star marked tyre (star marking is a bMW thing) if one is available for that model. Also keep in mind, unless a particular tyre is specified in your build, you’ll get what you get. PS, if posts have been helpful, there is an “appreciate” button. Cheers. Turns out being the non trusting type is just fine 😅 I really do appreciate the clarifications though and after a bit of research on the * star tyres I’m looking forwards to my car arriving with them. (I checked the correct option for them) In the UK we seem to either get P Zero non-run flat as standard or with the right wheel option you get the “high performance tyre” which I now know is the PS4S* |

And I should have clarified. The photo I attached was from a BMW service tech that I know. Not a photo from my car. He was showing me that the sidewalls do have a star on them. Was some random car that they had in the shop at the time. Apologies for the confusion.

Those who said they where going with all season should consider performance tires ,getting all season will limit top speed to 135 mph because that’s all they are rated for performance will get you 155 mph top speed, and from what people posted this can’t be reversed dealer confirmed that so I switch to performance run flats all tho i wish they where non run flats,I’ll be due for new tires soon anyway
