On my F44, I used the center console storage area for a USB-C thumb drive to play music. When I tried this on my G42 it would not recognize it as an audio source. When I inserted a USB in the port by the cupholders it registered as an audio course. Tell me what I am missing. Thanks.

the USB port under the arm rest is a charging port only, as shown by the picture of the lightning bolt. you gotta use the one by the cup holders/phone tray for data (downloading and uploading to the thumb drive)
