BimmerCode ambient Lighting on IDrive 8

I've recently purchased a 2023 230i and I've noticed the color options for ambient lighting are way worse on the new idrive compared to the old one, with purple missing which was a color I really looked forward to. I've tried changing it on bimmercode but its not officially supported and I've been trying to figure out how to use expert mode with no luck. Has anyone else tried this samething with success?

Are you talking about this thread? They seem to just talk about the app but I don’t see it in my bimmercode and I believe this thread is talking about idrive 7 instead of 8. I was wondering if anyone successfully did it in expert mode.

This might help. Note you might need n up to date OBD adapter.

Just remember, once purple is coded (using the Bronze color) you need to go into the idrive menu and select ‘Bronze’—which will now be purple.

I didnt see it as an option for our car in bimmercode. So I selected a 340i and the option was there and it worked. I made my ID8 ambient lights just the normal blue.
