Would A Carbon Fiber Lip Protect Against Scrapes?

If you get the carbon fiber lip installed would there be more than just the asthetic benefit?

Say you accidentally scrape the bottom, you could always have the carbon fiber lip removed/replaced later on, right?

yea its definatly true what you are saying. problem is those CF lips are damn expensive so i think its cheaper to fix the bumper then buy new lips. but yea in theory if the lips were a bit cheaper it would totally work like you are saying.

Yes...At $299 a pop, you can replace them. I never really thought of the CF as as protection...

I say wait a few months cause you'll be able to get the CF lips cheaper either at Circle or ebay...
