[QUOTE=Bandit009;30878932]Nope. Just my phone. I don’t carry a wallet either or cash. Timley.

My card never worked for me. It says that it is connected and active, yet it will not open the door. It is a decoration above my office desk on a shelf!
As far as phone, have Note 22 Ultra but not with Ultra Bandwidth capability so cannot use the phone as a key either. Can unlock and start with the remote features via the app. Might have to go back and try again so that I have a backup. |

I might be wrong in claiming the “trend” started in Europe but I (a member of the best generation - X) have been cashless for over 10 years. I do like a mechanical watch but also tend to go watchless quite regularly now as I use my phone. Keyless is the newest fad for me. I don’t carry keys to the car or home anymore. As an aside, I recall chip and pin being near non existent in the US at one time even to the point of having to provide I’d with a card payment. Have our American chums progressed to fully contactless payments these days? |

Is it only possible to link your profile to only one NFC device? Either the card or phone, but not both? I can't get both tied to my profile to set my seat position and radio presets.

Whoa….you can use the watch too?? I like that better than the card or phone. Probably can’t have the watch linked independently or without the phone enabled though, right? See what I don’t like about the phone is, to start the car, the phone simply has to be placed in the reader (or charger if you have it). But say you forget your phone in there, which isn’t that hard to do accidentally. In theory, couldn’t someone just break in and drive off since the phone would allow anyone to start the car? |

You could leave your phone in the car and lock the car with your watch. The car does warn you that your phone is still in the charger. You can’t protect against stupid. |

So I just downloaded the app onto my watch. I can see I can unlock and remote start. I’ll try the unlock by holding the watch near the handle. But how to start the engine? Does the watch have to be placed in the tray? |

For the phone you don’t have to. Once you’ve added the card in your wallet you just tap it on the door handle to unlock and put it in the cradle to start.
Same for the watch, but you first have to copy the card to the watch. You do that in the watch app. Open the app, scroll down to “Wallet and Apple Pay”. You add the card from your wallet app there. |

When you guys unlock and start with phone/watch does idrive automatically login to your BMW id?
When I unlock and start with the keyfob the system knows it's me and logs on. If I use my phone, I have to select my profile and then enter my pin number. I'm not sure if this is normal? |

I haven’t had a chance to play with that yet, but yes, I noticed if you start your car with the phone or watch it doesn’t default to your regular FOB profile. There may be a way to link them or copy your profile to new profiles. But I think they all have different ones.
