Got this today in the mail as a gift. It looks great. It's about 24"x18".

One of these is not like the other. It would be nice if they'd just shown the M4 to keep it all coupe.

Aesthetically I see your point but being an F80 owner I am happy they stayed with the M3s on this.

They still make coupe M3's, they just keep putting the wrong badge on them.

I'm seriously considering putting an M3 badge on my F82, is that wrong?

No, that's called 'fixing a factory flaw'.

I would think that they kept the M3 as the coupe after all the generations, and put the M4 as the "4 door", hence the "4". I'm still not sure why they didn't do that from a marketing stand point. It would make more sense of the whole situation being as the M3 has always been a coupe, and the M"4" would have "4" doors hence the sedan. Still boggles my mind at who is in charge with marketing these M3/4's. It would make sense right??

Nice poster but the sizing is way off. Would be nice if that was correctly represented.

They are making even numbers coupes/gran coupes/verts and odd numbers sedans/wagons
2,4,6,(i8) = 2 door (or gran coupe)
3,5,7 = 4 door (or wagon)
Even the SUVs follow this model: X1,X3,X5 = SUV and X4,X6 = SUV coupe/crossover thing

Plus, the M4 is the more expensive base car (even if marginally), so it has the higher number.

I do understand what you're getting at though, but I think this generation differentiates between the sedan and coupe much more than in the past, so it makes sense that they separated the models, but it does seem weird seeing M3 as sedan only
