320 D M sport edition finally sorted.Lots of pics!!

Well after a long wait and much frustration, the car is finally sorted! sorry about the huge amount of pics, but it does fully explain the machining process, paint depth, clay etc and the correction work to get the end result that I am happy with! the Zymol vintage still played up a bit, but with 3 experts and a lot of time and knowledge, it is now sorted. Also the wheel that was damaged arrived back today looking perfect, so if you scuff them find a good repairer and get them done (about £70) not had the bill yet! Engine is starting to loosen up now and mpg is staying around 37, so not too bad really. All in all, very happy with the car. More pics in second post....

Neil - I've looked, very nice.

Seriously, I'm thinking of having the Porker detailed. If I can get results similar to those, I'll be well chuffed.

Are those Guys local to you?

Sadly they dont do chrome masking tape willhollin! but at least the yellow matches the lemon leather or what's left of it!!

Thankyou beemerbird one was local the other was a small intelligent man from 400 miles away and another guy runs a business from the web. Was lucky really as this would have taken about 3 days to machine by one person and lots of cash. The BMW paint is easily marked, but a pig to correct. I would get your Porsche done, there are plenty of people with the skill about, just watch out for sticky paint, caymans and boxsters are known for it. I don't meen sticky due to over excitement either, the paint tends to still be slightly fluid so sort of snags, but once the right combination of cutting compound/pad is found, it is fine.

Yes. And the vectra is a far superior car, we must all trade in our BMW's and buy one right away.

Actually I have just got confused.

Vectra's are shit.

I would rather have my arse filled with expanding foam and read the Guardian in broad daylight than buy a vectra.
