I have those in my nitrous RX7 the only downside they dont last long. I broke 2 LSD(4.11) Diff and a racing clutch with those tires but i was dumping the clutch at 9500 rpm. My car was 1/2 second faster with T/A tires. Good luck

Yes those are DOT approved.... Awesome tire. But don't get it for everyday. You will blow through them faster than a free hooker.

Now we're talking! Looking forward to seeing the results.
I actually got about 5 to 8K miles out of a set running them on the street. |

It's too bad they don't make Nittos in an apporpriate size. The NT-555R is a great drag radial that has handled really well for me on the street (even in the rain) for me before. They have 18s, but only in 285/35, 305/35, or 305/45.
The other option would be to buy a pair of wheels and put some ET streets on them for the track only. You would have sick traction then. I cut 1.5-1.6 60' times in an F-body with those. They are technically "DOT approved" but they handle like crap in the rain, but give you the best drag strip traction in that category tires. (street legal drag tires)

I've had good luck with the 555s, since I have 17" wheels (non-sport package) I'll pick up a set as soon as I find a reasonable pair of stock rims. The BFG's do hook better but the Nittos handle better on the street and last a little longer, in my experience.

I can't wait to see the results. Please post the 60' with the new tires. By the way, do you have any 60' with the stockers?
I want to know how big of a difference is going from the oem 17" to the bigger 18" sport package and finally to the 18" with the DRs. I knowe you already have the 18" but I weant to compare it with other BMW owners 60' times running on 17". Carlos |

Transbrakes are great! I had trouble on DRs with the brake, but did manage 1.34 60ft with MT slicks. It will be nice if Shiv can devise some sort of launch control with the automatics using the PROcede...but short of using a transbrake, I'm not sure it will be possible.

For the manual it should be straight forward. I asked Shiv before about the auto, and at that time, he wasn't sure. It wont be quite so easy with the automatic unless there is a way for the PROcede to enagage 1st and reverse like a transbrake. Otherwise you are limited to the same RPM as powerbraking.
