Just our of curiosity, why are people still getting excited about dealers offering M2’s at MSRP? There are plenty of new G87’s to go around. The COVID supply issues are a thing of the past.

The wonderful thing about the US dealership model is that you have independent dealers competing against each other to sell a homogeneous product. Your business is a like throwing a bottle of whiskey towards a bunch of rowdy drunks….

First time poster!

Have just placed a deposit down in an “in stock” M2 with my local dealer. Have a VIN and last status update was 165 on 2024-01-20. Have been told 1st or 2nd week of March for collection.

Zandvoort Blue, bicolour wheels, auto, comfort pack, driving assistant. Plus all the UK stuff we get as standard (shadow line, CF interior & roof etc)

Just hoping that my delivery date doesn’t slip from shipping delays

Yeah my M2 is supposed to be on the GLOVIS Sirius and it’s done that

last week I got a great offer and I placed an order on a stock Zandvoort blue G87, I was told the ship sailed around 25th Jan from Mexico, is there any way to track it / have an ETA of Bremen / Hamburg?

I cannot wait to get it, but I also need to sell my current i30N in time

Maybe not a M2 specific question but any reason why a dealership wouldn't do PCD? Mine says it's because of scheduling issues in the past.

Who actually pays for PCD? BMW or the dealership? If they won't budge should I try elsewhere?

I’ve been told my car is at status 165, however BMW Genius couldn’t say if my car had been loaded onto a ship yet from Mexico to UK.

Apparently they will only see an update when it arrives at either Bremerhaven or Portsmouth.

Is this accurate or should they know if it’s been loaded?

Pay no attention to the “genius” until your car is at the dealership.
