My dealership wanted a 5k deposit, but I told them since I was pre-trading a car in before delivery I would not be willing to put more than 2k so they agreed. I'm guessing they're having issues with people not getting approved or picking up their orders.

Whats the lead time on cars at the moment? What sort of discounts folks getting? I would get one very lightly specced, no buckets.

That was back in November though, so things could be different now.

I wouldn't necessarily think it would add a week to install. Someone in my state earlier in this thread mentioned taking delivery on a car on a Friday, and the car had arrived at the port on Monday. They had MP HAS installed, and it was installed at the US port, not Mexico.

I was under the impression that ALL port-installed accessories were done on the US side. I could be wrong, or it could be dependent on which coast, etc. But I thought it was all stateside. Anyone have confirmation it's done in Mexico?

I only bring it up because I was told something that was 100% wrong (and inconsistent with everyone's experiences here) at one point from my dealership. Wasn't as important, but still.

allocations are around, higher volume dealers will have more, I walked into a big dealer end of decemeber and got a february allocation. Others report being on waitlists just to get a allocation at some point in the future at smaller dealers.

MSRP is pretty much the standard price, some report getting 2-5k off. Plenty of dealers are still on the markup train though.

My car got built feb 22nd and is currently in the port waiting for a ship (the ship I think it's going to be on has been at anchor outside the port for 8 days now )

edit: it happened again, complained and now the ship is finally underway towards the port lol

Phil Winslows? That’s the dealer I gave up my build slot at, and they require $2,500 refundable.

1k should be standard I believe. I was lucky, cool SA, and was not asked for a deposit.

I'm excited as well! This is gonna be a summer Christmas if it arrives by may... fingers crossed!

As for options:
- ZB
- M Highlights
- Red calp
- Moonroof
- All of them except Mdriveprofessional basically.
- M Suspension (potentially)

3-3-2024: 111
3-18-2024: 111 w/ HAS

Let the wait begin!!!

I put down $0. Low volume dealer. My understanding is if they have a customer order waiting then BMW will do their best from available allocations "in this general area" to the waiting orders. If I walk then they have a car to sell they otherwise wouldn't have received. Anything over 1K seems unnecessary to me.

Looks like the Grand Champion just departed Veracruz. Did either of your guy's status change. I'm still showing 165 but hoping I'm on that ship

no I've been watching it and it never went into the port, just sat at anchor for 8-9 days and now it's been sort of milling around at 2-3 knots looking like it's gunna drive away... weird.

There's another promising one incoming though, glovis crystal headed for veracruz and is due back in brunswick the 31st

Hey guys, not sure if this is allowed in this thread but I'm looking at getting into the market. For those of you placing orders what is the general situation on pricing? Are they pretty much going for MSRP? Any negotiating at all? Do you negotiate your final out-the-door price before placing the order, and sign/agree to that?

I'm curious to see what the market is like right now for those who have placed orders recently. I'm debating going in to place an order for a '24 or whether to wait and try and get an early allocation for a '25.

Majority is Paying MSRP, however there are some dealers charging over sticker. Some were able to snag some discounts, however the lead time is around 3-4 months on an order.

Last night it jumped from status 150 to 153. Production date now says 3-19. I was told build week was 12, so we are right on schedule.

Yea I saw it's back in the port. So weird that it was just circling off the coast like that.

I'm really hoping that's our ship. The wait is killing me at this point lol
