Highest mileage N54?
I've seen other people asking about other cars so I thought I'd ask about the N54s out there.
What's the highest mileage anyone has? How does it drive now and what problems have you had if any. I love my car and I'd really like to keep it a long time. I've done quite a few things to it. I'm just wondering at what point might it become too costly to run etc. I'm on 70,000 miles. Water pump went 2 weeks ago. Replaced that and the thermostat and luckily all seems good now. I've seen quite a few people with modded 335s in the US that are on 150,000 miles and still going strong.

Nearly 104.5k on mine, have owned it for 5 years & covered 50k or so in that time.
Only ever had castrol edge & only use shell V power. Original turbos with no waste gate issues & still on original injectors with no problems. Have replaced HPFP, electric water pump, boost pipe work & pressure converters, coils & the radiator, have also replaced the top mounts, ofhgs & that's about it. Have covered 20k with the engine remap & other mods. Running approx 375 bhp & 500nm torques Mods Quantum engine remap JFA gearbox remap Mishimoto inter cooler K&N air filter Red stuff pads Apex springs with Sachs shocks Last time I drove it (6 weeks ago) all was good.

143K FBO soon putting bigger turbos in. It all deppends on how previous owners treated it, do they change the oil every 15k or 5k.

I've replaced most parts deemed weak by way of upgrades, including the turbos.

Definitely is. Should take me a while to reach 255k miles.
About 12 years at my current annual mileage We'll probably have flying cars by that stage. I can't see this idea of nobody owning cars catching on unless there's a massive cost or cost saving involved in opting out/in. The number of times you need a quick trip down to a shop and the state cars would be in from sharing with strangers. |
